The grass is greener

A brilliant piece made locally in South Africa by Hemporium about hemp and specifically how South Africa could benefit by investing in building with hemp. South Africa has a massive housing crisis, with many people living in tin shacks which are boiling hot in summer and freezing cold in winter. Hemp could provide homes that are fire proof, breathable, well insulated and mould proof.

Most of the government houses currently being built need to be maintained due to low quality building materials, which costs the taxpayer money and wastes money that could be used for education and social upliftment. Every person deserves to live in a house that they can call a home and that feels like a home, not just a shelter. Featuring commentary from Jane Goodall, Muna Lakhani from Earthlife Africa, Baaba Maal, Zolani Mahola from freshly ground.
