Description

Hempitecture was created in 2013 by Matthew Mead to study, experiment, and develop techniques and concepts pertaining to Hemp building practices. Initially, Mead explored sustainable building techniques in an undergraduate study for his Bachelor's of Architectural Studies degree from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. The Hempitecture concept was further developed in Mead's senior year and was well-recieved in a variety of entrepreneurial business plan expositions.

The exposure from the entrepreneurial expositions brought hemp building concepts into the media spotlight, ultimately connecting Mead with an opportunity to work with Hemp in Idaho.
